Purpose:
The weeday programs at Broadway Baptist will have a unique function in our church and community. Our resposibility goes beyond that of public Preschool Programs. As an agency of the church, we are obligated not only to offer a program consistent with the highest type of early Childhood education, but to provide an atmoshere and program in which children and teachers are learning to live in a Christ-like way.

Goals:
The goals of Broadway Baptist Preschool are that all children can grow socially, emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually; that every child be ready for the next school experience of kindergarten.

Registration:
Registration begins the first of January prior to the start of school in September. This registration is based on a first come first serve basis. Registration and forms will be sent out with a due date. As classes fill, a waiting list is started with parents being notified when an opening becomes available. You must return the registration form along with the registration fee by the due date in order to secure a place in the class for your child. Your child will be enrolled for the entire school year. No refund for the registration fee if the child is withdrawn for any reason, except moving out of the area. Children af all races, religion and sex are welcome as equals.

Three Year Class
This class meets Tuesday and Thursday,
9:00 am until 12:00 noon.

  • Social and educational learning through theme lessons
  • Development of gross and fine motor skills
  • Development of listening skills
  • Indoor, outdoor and gym playtime
  • Music/Movement
  • Holiday parties

Four Year Class
This class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

  • Development of whole child, academic, social, physical and spiritual
  • Field trips for educational experiences
  • Lots of hands-on opportunities for fun learning
  • Music/Movement
  • Holiday parties
  • Three programs during the year
  • Monthly chapel time with pastor
Parental Participation

We encourage parents to participate in their child's preschool education. An orientation meeting for parents is held prior to the beginning of school. A parent information folder is provided at the meeting. Parent conferences are scheduled when needed. Newsletters are sent home each month to provide information about activities each class will be doing.

Extended Days
Broadway Baptist provides the opportunity for children to stay at school until 3:00 pm on scheduled extended days. The child brings a lunch and a drink. A nominal fee is charged.
