Women's Enrichment Ministry |
May 2008
| On April 18th, the area surrounding Lexington experienced a not too often occurrence. The earth shook. And for a short bit, the tremor could be felt. The first occurrence happened at 5:37 am our local time. It was in the still of the night, if you happened to be awake, that you could hear the rumble and experience the movement. The quake was centered many miles away but its effect still reached us. But did you know that around 11:45 that day, a second tremor occurred? Centered at the same location, the earth shook again. But, in the hurried busy schedule that we all experience, not much was made of this shaking. Earthquakes come unexpected and they are unpredictable.

Listening to God can be much the same way. During the hectic, the hurried, and in the many things we do; often, we can not hear what God is saying. In the still and in the quiet, just as with this recent tremor, we can best hear God. Listening takes diligence, being alert and disciplined. What is God saying to you? Are you listening? The JOY ministry is working each month to disciple and reach our community for Christ. God is sending out the workers to a plentiful harvest. Listen to God leading, follow His call and join us in our ladies ministry. Walking forward while looking upward, |
