Young At Heart

In 1 Corinthians 12:1, Paul taught, “Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.” In verses 27-28 of the same chapter, the Apostle instructed, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it [emphasis added]. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.” Think of Paul’s teaching this way: God has important ministry to accomplish through the local church. God equips every member of the local church to play some part in the church’s ministry.

God is pleased when Christians use their spiritual gifts to accomplish the church’s ministry. I believe God has both called and equipped someone to lead and guide our Young at Heart ministry.
