| One day, a young woman was sitting on the beach enjoying a pleasant afternoon. To her surprise, the renowned painter Pablo Picasso came strolling along the seashore directly in front of her. The young woman asked Mr. Picasso if he would paint her portrait so she could have a reminder of this day. Mr. Picasso, with pad at his side, quickly sketched a dazzling picture of his subject in a couple of minutes. Extremely pleased with his work, the young woman thanked the artist for the portrait. Mr. Picasso replied, “That will be $10,000 dollars please.” Shocked by his request, the young lady grumbled, “Mr. Picasso, it only took you two minutes to sketch my picture.”

“No, dear lady,” responded Picasso, “It took me a lifetime.” It is a blessing to watch the development of our young people as they grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Sanctification is not immediate, but a process. Our Lord expects all of us to be closer to Him today than we were yesterday. Let’s work together to edify our youth and help them experience a lifetime filled with the joy of knowing our Savior. Michael & Kimberly Lamb |
