Our motto for youth ministry at BBC is “Touch The World…Impact Eternity.” We want to be about touching the world of our youth so the next generation may impact eternity through the witness of a Christian lifestyle.

Our Youth Ministry is focused around four strategic components:

• Bible Study. We meet for Bible Study on Sunday Mornings from 9-10 am and Wednesday Night from 6-7 pm. For more information on Sunday Morning Bible study, click here for 9-12th grade Bible Study and click here for 6-8th grade Bible Study.

• Worship. Our youth are actively involved in the Worship Ministry of our church through choir, praise team, orchestra, and individual performances. BBC welcomes and encourages youth participation in the life of corporate worship.

• Fellowship. At BBC, we believe that church should be a place where youth can “hang-out” with friends in a safe environment. To that end, we try to have at least one fellowship event a month. Examples include lock-ins, bowling, baseball games, Kentucky Kingdom , and going out to eat. Our next fellowship event is October 17, from 6-7 pm.

• Missions. We try to provide opportunities for our Youth to be actively involved in a missions project. In the past year we have participated in Habitat for Humanity, Appalachian Mission of Hope, delivering Thanksgiving Baskets, helping the Salvation Army, the Elkhorn Baptist Association “Souper Bowl” party, and other projects. We intentionally try to take one mission trip a year outside of the City of Lexington. Our event for 2007 is Missionfuge, June 25-30, in Nashville, Tennessee.
